Registered Under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (No.S/9208/1979)
NAGI is the only national body of Geographers of the country and presently it has more than 2600 life-members. It was established in 1978 with its headquarter in Department of Geography, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. Every year the Association organizes Indian Geography Congress in different universities of India. Apart from Indian Geography Congress, the Association also organized International Geography Congress.
Annals of the National Association of Geographers, India (ISSN: 0970-972X) is a national journal (UGC-CARE Listed) publishes on all matter concerning the study of geography and allied disciplines. The journal provides a medium for wide dissemination of original papers discussing various implications connected with geography from many points of view including international, political, environment, economic, social, medical, managerial, planning, scientific and engineering aspects.
